Schoolyard Farm Worker – Vancouver

A great opportunity for a recent grad, the Vancouver Schoolyard Farm Worker is a full-time 7-month position growing Good Food For All. We’re looking for a keen farmer who thrives in a fast paced environment. You must enjoy working outside in all weather and love to share your food and farming knowledge with others. In collaboration with our Farm Manager, you will ensure our schoolyard farms are productive and welcoming spaces. You will also provide leadership to Farm Interns and youth and adult volunteers to complete daily tasks on the farm. Together you’ll help to sell our produce at the local farmer’s market and prepare it for our CSA

Schoolyard Farm Worker – Delta

Position Dates: May-August 2018

The Delta Schoolyard Farm Worker is a full time seasonal position funded through Canada Summer Jobs.  We’re looking for the right people to help us Grow Good Food For All.  You will work with the Delta School District to help grow educational farms. You’ll run regular volunteer programs, helping high-school aged youth to grow, learn, and cook. You might have been a camp counselor in the past and love working with youth! You are a keen gardener already and feel comfortable working outside through the summer. In all, you’ll grow a stupendous garden and get it ready for the school year to come!

Day Camp Administrator

Application Deadline:  Application review begins February 15, 2018; open until filled

Position Dates: May-September 2018

The Camp Administrator will work closely with the Camp Director to manage logistics for our 7-week farm day camp, including registration, purchasing, organizing field trips, parent relations, etc. Your job is to make sure camp is the best experience possible for camper’s families and camp staff, ensure camper and staff health and safety, and generally take care of the little things that make the program run. You are a positive, caring presence who can also get things done and with a drive for excellence and attention to detail. The ability to communicate with campers, families, co-workers, and community partners in a friendly, professional manner is essential. You also need to be a licensed driver comfortable driving large (non-commercial) vehicles. Prior to the start of camp, you will also assist our Program Staff in delivering field trips and other farm-related educational programs.
