LunchLab Community Eats Chef Educator
As a LunchLAB Community Eats Chef Educator, you’ll work alongside our SOYL program (Coquitlam) to inspire and engage youth by supporting them to discover the joy of cooking. Twice a week through our programs, you’ll work with high school aged youth to create meals for roughly 40 people. As you cook, you’ll also help share critical food systems and kitchen skills lessons. Your role will be mentor, educator, and chef. Each week, you’ll work with youth to teach them new skills, helping them understand the art and science of cooking and nutrition as well as the joy and celebration of connection to healthy food.
The position will also be expected to practice and ensure all food safe and COVID protocols are followed. As restrictions and public health recommendations shift the specific protocols may also need to change.

Farm Day Camp Staff
If you love seeing kids find joy in holding worms or discover that kale is their favourite food, if you have a favourite silly vegetable song or game, and if you think camp is the best part of summer, this might be the position for you! Day Camp Facilitators will facilitate Camp Fresh Roots programming for kids ages 5-12 at our Vancouver and Coquitlam schoolyard farms. Our camp programming includes educational activities, games, songs, farm work, harvesting, cooking, and sharing food, field trips, and more. Day Camp Facilitators will work as part of a small team to lead a mix of pre-planned and camper-directed activities, with the opportunity for you to create programming you’re passionate about.
