A full week at Camp Fresh Roots lets campers dig deep, ask questions, find answers, and connect with the wider community! All full week programs include a farm fresh snack Monday-Thursday and lunch on Friday (Wednesday for A Taste of the Forest), prepared by staff and campers. Full day programs also take a walking field trip or have a special guest each week.

A Day at Camp Fresh Roots

Our campers are the star of the show – we’ll follow their lead when it comes to the kinds of activities they’re most interested in! A typical camp day might look like:

9:00: Sign-in
Camp staff will offer games, songs, or art activities as campers arrive
9:15: Opening circle
We’ll check in and see how everyone’s doing, introduce the Theme of the Day, and sing a song to get us moving.
9:30: Morning Activity Time
Campers will help on the farm, tend the camp garden beds, explore the day’s theme through games, crafts, hands-on activities, and more. Campers will have a snack from home during this time.
12:00 Lunch and Rest Time
We’ll picnic safely, read a story, and have time to read in the shade, play a quiet game, journal, draw or paint, or just close your eyes for a minute.
1:30 Afternoon Activity Time
Like the morning, but in the afternoon!
3:00  Farm Snack
We’ll use what’s fresh on the farm to create a tasty snack for all to share.
3:45 Closing Circle
A chance to reflect on what we did, and share any reminders for the next day. more
