Fresh Roots’ Board of Directors have the opportunity to influence Good Food For All here in Vancouver and BC! We are looking for new board members to help govern and guide. The role falls into three core responsibilities: strategic (setting priorities and monitoring performance), generative (big picture questions and big picture thinking) and fiduciary (stewardship of assets and accountability).
We are currently looking for people with backgrounds and experience in:
- Fundraising (developing fundraising strategies; new campaigns)
- Non-Profit Board Development (participating in the development of Fresh Roots’ organizational capacity)
- BC Education System (Board of Education, district administration, public/private school, teacher)
- Finance (accounting, budgeting, banking or investment)
- Health / Nutrition (public health interest, nutritionist or physician/pediatrician)
- Chef and/or Foodie (locally grown and seasonal cuisine, embedded within the local culinary community)
- Marketing / Communications (experienced and loves guiding impact organizations on how to best share their story with the world)
Previous involvement in non-profit organizational development, landscape architecture, education, food literacy, agriculture, would be considered an asset.
