General Description: Also known as Beach Strawberry. Perennial. Evergreen groundcover with white flowers and tiny flavourful strawberries.
Deer resistant.
Growing Pattern: Low ground cover. Spreading runners that root in soil. Great for stabilizing slopes.
Height: 10-15 cm (4-6 inches)
Soil Type: Prefers sandy or clay, but will tolerate normal soil.
Watering: Very low.
Sun Exposure: Full sun to partial shade.
Usually found at: Ocean beaches, coastal grassland
Edibility: Yes! Large red berries on the surface, white inside.
