If I won the lottery, I would give it all the Fresh Roots! This organization is amazing from the land they farm on, the programs they run, the people that run them. They create a community for so many students and they are the definition of supporting local. This is my 8th year getting a CSA box and I cannot say enough good things about it.

Number one thing for me is the community that comes with it (Fresh Roots). Everyone is so positive and supportive and everybody encourages each other to be the best versions of ourselves. It’s a super inclusive space, especially growing up as a queer teenager, it’s so nice to have people who fully see you for who you are.
Legacy Giving
Consider leaving a gift to Fresh Roots in your will to help future generations grow, learn, and connect through our schoolyard farms.

I grew up on a farm growing our own food – I loved how fresh it was, how magical that I could walk out the door and find lunch! These were foundational memories for me to also appreciate the time and effort that goes into growing our food. I support Fresh Roots on a monthly basis as I want as many young people as possible to grow up with a connection to their food, and the joy and satisfaction of tasting how their hard work pays off!
