Fresh Roots sells our schoolyard farm-grown produce and youth-made preserves to school meal programs, restaurants, and our neighbours. Vancouver Veggie Boxes and Flower CSA
Fresh Roots Veggie Box and Flower CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) programs are a fabulous way to get the freshest, most delicious, hyper-local produce while supporting the amazing work we’re doing at Fresh Roots! When you join a CSA, you enter into a direct partnership with a local farm. Members buy a share of the farm’s harvest at the beginning of the season to contribute to the costs of seeds, tools, and other inputs. As members, you will be rewarded with delicious, fresh, and hyper-local produce and a strong sense of community. CSAs will be available for purchase in early 2025.
CSA Basics
Cost: 2025 costs will be available when sales begin in January. In 2024, CSAs were $25/week.
Dates: Veggie Box CSAs are 20 weeks, from late May or early June through the week before Thanksgiving. Flower CSAs are 10 weeks, starting in early July. CSA sales begin in January, and go quickly. Join our mailing list to be the first to know when CSA sales open!
Location: Pick-up is Wednesdays, 3-7, at our Van Tech Market.

Market Credits Basics
How It Works
Market Credits are a flexible system that allows you to purchase the kind of products you want when you want them using your Market Credit card. Like a traditional CSA, you purchase Market Credits at the beginning of the season in $50, $100, $200, $300, increments which are loaded onto your card.
We don’t pack a box for you, instead, you can shop at our markets and purchase what and how much you want. Each time you make a purchase it will be deducted from the balance on your card.
The Benefits
- Allows for more flexibility, and different price ranges than our CSA. You pick the location, the produce, and the quantity.
- You receive our weekly newsletters which include food journalism, recipes, stories from programs and the farm.
- If you have a leftover balance at the end of the season, it will roll over into the next year for you.
- Choose the amount you think you need by estimating how much you might spend on produce over the season. Please note that we have a limited amount of market credits on offer!
Native Plant Sales
We propagate a wide variety of native plants at our site in Coquitlam! These are available for purchase during our Millside Markets from June through August, and keep an eye on our social media for special Native Plant Sales in the spring. Availability varies.
