2024 Impact Report

What a year of movement it has been at Fresh Roots! And I mean that in every possible way.

This year, we relocated our farmers’ market to be right alongside the schoolyard farm at Vancouver Technical Secondary. This shift brought our community even closer to the heart of what we do, making it easier for folks to see, smell, and taste the impact of our work. We also made a big move—literally—by packing up our office and settling into a new space in the heart of East Van – bringing fresh energy to our team as we embark on this next season for Fresh Roots.

Of course, there was movement everywhere you looked—students digging into the soil, farmers harvesting fresh ingredients, volunteers lending a hand, and community members gathering, sharing, and learning together on the land. It was incredible to be a part of our farms as they were alive with motion, growth, and connection this year.
Through all this movement, one thing has remained steady: the incredible support from the Fresh Roots community, families, partners, and people like you. Your belief in Fresh Roots keeps us growing, evolving, and—yes—moving.
